ABOUT MEHello! My name is Elizabeth Chapman and I am a senior at the Loomis Chaffee School. I am from Alexandria, VA, but spent my early childhood years living in Turkey and The Netherlands. As a student and a citizen of the world, I strive to learn as much as I can about the world around me and engage with all those I meet! Growing up in a very international family, I have been raised learning about different cultures and communities. In the future, I hope to study language and use my studies abroad to be a better global citizen as well as learn more about my environmental impact and become more environmentally sustainable and conscientious.

MY FAVORITE ADVENTURE
Siem Reap, Cambodia
The picture below is from the summer following my freshman year of high school. With students from my school, we traveled to Vietnam to study the American/Vietnam War and to Cambodia to study the horrific Khmer Rouge genocide. Prior to our visit to Cambodia, we were part of a pen pal correspondence with students from the PEPY organization in Cambodia. The NGO works to empower youth in rural Cambodia both professionally and personally. The picture below shows a time when we met up with our pen pals and played soccer with them!
